Relatório de Estágio Supervisionado Obrigatório – Laboratório de Nutrição Animal - LANA

Resumo

The Mandatory Supervised Internship (ESO) is an essential step for the technical and scientific training of the Animal Science student, as it promotes practical experience in real professional contexts. This report describes the activities developed in the Animal Nutrition Laboratory (LANA) of the Institute of Social Sciences, Education, and Animal Science of the Federal University of Amazonas (ICSEZ/UFAM), on the Parintins Campus, during the period from March 25 to June 17, 2025, totaling 300 hours of internship. The actions involved everything from the asepsis of materials and registration of sample entries, to the performance of bromatological analyses such as moisture determination (dry matter), ash (mineral matter), total lipids (ether extract), and crude protein, following methodologies recommended by the AOAC and adopted by the Adolfo Lutz Institute. Samples of fish in natura, salted pirarucu, salt-cured fish, and fishery waste meals originating from interinstitutional projects were analyzed. Furthermore, the internship provided support and monitoring during practical classes of undergraduate courses, allowing for a greater understanding of the applicability of laboratory knowledge in academic and technological contexts. The experiences gained during the internship were essential for developing skills related to laboratory routines, teamwork, experimental planning, and data interpretation, as well as reinforcing the importance of food analysis in the formulation of balanced diets and the utilization of aquaculture byproducts as a sustainable alternative. The internship made a significant contribution to the construction of a solid, critical professional training connected to the regional demands of the Amazon.
