Abstract

In the thirty-six-year period analyzed, only seven women were elected to the Chamber of Deputies for Amazonas. The investigation focuses on the period from 1987 to 2023, encompassing the 48th to 56th legislatures. The objective of the study is to profile the women who manage to be elected federal deputies in the state of Amazonas, examining social factors such as gender, race, and class that may determine their chances of success in this elective office
