Uma aproximação à narrativa erótica de Claudio Rodríguez Fer: Análise de quatro contos de os paraísos eróticos

Resumo

This dissertation proposes an approach to the erotic narrative of Claudio Rodríguez Fer through the analysis of four short stories from the work Os paraísos eróticos (2010): “A muller loba,” “A raposa boreal,” “A fera fráxil,” and “A osa que chove,” all included in the section “Belas e bestas.” The study understands eroticism not merely as the representation of desire or sexuality, but as a complex symbolic structure capable of articulating fundamental dimensions of human experience, such as love, memory, violence, and death. Grounded in an interdisciplinary theoretical perspective, the research primarily engages with the reflections of Georges Bataille and Octavio Paz, whose approaches allow eroticism to be understood as an experience that challenges prohibitions, transgresses limits, and inscribes desire within the domains of language, imagination, and culture. This theoretical framework is further expanded through dialogue with authors such as Michel Foucault, Paul Ricoeur, Roland Barthes, Aleida Assmann, Jean-Pierre Vernant, and Mircea Eliade, contributing reflections on memory, subjectivity, power, myth, and the sacred. In the analyzed narratives, eroticism emerges as an ambivalent force, at times linked to the affirmation of life and desire, and at others traversed by pain, loss, and the awareness of finitude. The female characters created by Rodríguez Fer occupy a central narrative position and embody multiple expressions of desire, revealing an eroticism constructed in the tension between freedom and prohibition, pleasure and suffering, body and memory. In this context, death does not appear merely as an endpoint, but as a structural element that intensifies desire and deepens its symbolic resonance. Methodologically, this is a bibliographical and analytical-descriptive study, based on close reading and critical interpretation of literary and theoretical texts. The analysis seeks to demonstrate how eroticism in Claudio Rodríguez Fer’s work transcends the physical sphere and becomes an aesthetic and existential language, capable of revealing subjective, affective, and historical conflicts. Thus, this dissertation contributes to the field of contemporary literary studies by highlighting the symbolic potency of eroticism and its relevance for understanding the complexities of the human condition.
