A Fotografia na sala de aula e suas possibilidades metodológicas no ensino de arte

Resumo

This paper investigates the use of photography in the classroom and its possible methodologies. The research was carried out at the Antônio Telles de Souza Full-Time State School, with elementary school students. It identified the possibility of using smartphones as a teaching tool, as well as their contribution to artistic production. To this end, the students were asked to produce photographs and publish them on a platform called Padlet. Based on the guidance provided, each student analyzed their own photograph, considering its artistic, technical, political, metaphorical and poetic elements. The aim was to relate the students' photographic production to Rancière's (2005) concept of sharing the sensible, as well as Lakoff and Johnson's (2002) ideas on the metaphorical procedure. The students produced 112 photographs and 30 statements. It was found that photography is widely produced and shared by students in everyday life and at school, making it necessary to discuss its artistic and technical purposes, as well as its political and critical role in the face of reality. It was concluded that, through the artistic production of photography, it is possible to establish a sensitive analysis of reality and of the students' political and poetic positions in relation to what they produce.
