Pohoropihiwitëri pë ã rii rë haiwei: a língua materna dos Yanomami de Pohoroá

Resumo

Based on the trajectory of Edinho Yanomami Xamatari as a student and teacher at the Sagrada Família school, an autoethnography is developed that reflects on social, linguistic and historical issues of the Yanomami people of the Marauiá River. The first part of the work is a reflection on the presence of the school in the Pohoroá xapono. The second part presents an inventory of oral narratives that tell the story of the linguistic group that calls itself Waika Karina, as well as the story of Horunami learning the first word in another Yanomami language. Finally, with the aim of generating a dissertation that will be of interest to all Yanomami students, a Yanomami vocabulary is constructed.
