Poéticas visuais amazonenses: uma breve catalogação de artistas visuais e suas obras

Abstract

This investigation addresses the need for recognition, valuation and dissemination of regional visual arts in the school environment, given the scarcity of content on local aesthetics in traditional teaching materials. The central objective of this study was to develop and apply a pedagogical proposition structured with the Research Line Teaching, learning and creation processes in arts of this master's degree, which culminated in the creation of a digital catalog of visual artists relevant to Amazonian art, serving as a cultural mediation resource in the classroom. Based on the A/R/Tography methodology, the work intertwines the identities of artist, researcher and teacher throughout the educational process. The field research was carried out in the context of Youth and Adult Education (EJA), at the Rodolpho Valle Municipal School, located in the West Zone of the city of Manaus with students from the second segment. The methodological path involved the exhibition of the web series Visualidades Amazônicas and the documentary Amazônia em Todas as Cores, bibliographical research, followed by technological immersion workshops where students used digital and Artificial Intelligence tools (such as Gamma and FlipHTML5) to format and design the catalog. The curatorship of the work was limited to the trajectory of five artists from Amazonas – Otoni Mesquita, Bernadete Andrade, Hahnemann Bacelar, Priscila Pinto and Iva Tai – who also worked as researchers and teachers in the public and university network, promoting diversity and representation of gender and profession. As a result, the pedagogical proposition highlighted the student's leading role in the construction of their own knowledge and in valuing their territorial identity. The catalog produced is consolidated as an educational product of high didactic-pedagogical relevance, offering support for other teachers to promote aesthetic education contextualized with the Amazonian reality.
