Background: Given this scenario and the growing demand faced by anesthesiologists, understanding the factors that contribute to occupational fatigue has become necessary, and developing tools for implementing strategies for managing human fatigue and early intervention in factors associated with this occupational condition. Objectives: The general objective of the research is to evaluate the human factors that may be associated with occupational fatigue in anesthesiologists working in the surgical center of a quaternary level hospital in the state of Amazonas. Method: Prospective cross-sectional study, with the application of an online questionnaire aimed at anesthesiologists working in public health in the state of Amazonas. The questionnaire consisted of sociodemographic, organizational and managerial variables, sleep-wake cycle, health and psychological, and performance/coping with adverse situations in the workplace. Of the 95, 8.4% have been diagnosed with a sleep disorder. Regarding the health axis, the majority reported that they do not use medication (55.8%), do not have diseases that affect sleep (67.4%), and engage in leisure activities (89.5%) and physical activities (87.4%). In the psychological axis, 25.3% reported that they are undergoing psychological or psychiatric treatment and 36.8% have already used illicit substances or drugs. The most worrying factors that were significantly associated with the health and psychological axes of anesthesiologists were having between 21 and 30 years as an anesthesiologist, which was associated with poor sleep quality, and working more than 72 hours per week, which was associated with psychological or psychiatric treatment.
