Abstract

The Mandatory Supervised Internship was carried out at the Experimental Farm of the Federal University of Amazonas (FaExp), from September 23 to November 22, 2025, totaling 300 hours of practical activities. The general objective of this report is to describe and analyze the activities carried out during the internship, highlighting the integration between theory and practice for professional development in the field of Animal Science. The internship took place in the buffalo, sheep, pig, poultry, and intensive peccary (Pecari tajacu) farming sectors, encompassing routines of feed, health, and reproductive management, as well as technical activities such as biometrics, reproductive diagnostics, silage production, slaughter monitoring, feces collection, and environmental variable monitoring. The experience allowed for the integration of theory and practice, promoting the development of professional skills essential for the work of an animal scientist. Participation in practical classes, research projects, and management routines broadened understanding of animal welfare, biosecurity, production systems, and zootechnical efficiency, as outlined in the literature in the field. It is concluded that the internship provided solid training, a multidisciplinary perspective, and technical improvement, significantly contributing to the student's professional qualification.
