Construção de um protocolo de prevenção e tratamento de feridas para enfermeiros do município de Itacoatiara-AM

Abstract

Introduction: The prevention and treatment of wounds involve a multidisciplinary approach, with nurses playing a central role in care. The use of care protocols contributes to the quality of care by guiding nurses' decision-making and directing care to meet the patient's needs. Considering the leading role of nursing in the care of patients with wounds, it is necessary to develop strategies that assist these professionals, especially in the Amazon region. Objective: To develop a protocol for the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic wounds. Methodology: This is a qualitative study, using Convergent Care Research as a reference, through the phases of conception, instrumentation, scrutiny, analysis, and protocol development. Data were collected through questionnaires and convergent groups. Results: There was a need to improve care processes and adjust the work procedures of nursing teams regarding wound prevention and treatment, in addition to the need to develop the “NURSING PROTOCOL: TREATMENT AND PREVENTION - ACUTE AND CHRONIC DERMATOLOGICAL LESIONS.” The protocol was developed in textual and graphic form, which makes it practical, easy to use, and understandable. Final considerations: The protocol developed is a care technology with the potential to contribute effectively to the prevention.
