Projeto novo tempo de educação integral: uma experiência no município de Ji-Paraná

Abstract

This research is linked to the Graduate Program in Science and Humanities Education at the Federal University of Amazonas (PPGECH) with the support of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes), through the research line: Teaching of Human Sciences.. The discussions presented here are the result of reflections produced by the Study and Research Group on Early Childhood Education (Gpedin), associated with the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) of the Federal University of Amazonas (Ufam). The general objective is to analyze the School Pedagogical Project (PPE) of full-time schools in Ji-Paraná-Rondônia, identifying the quality of education offered from the perspective of Integral education since the implementation of the Novo Tempo Program in 2007. The methodological outline was based on a qualitative approach, using bibliographic and documentary research methods, carried out using national and municipal sources. The results showed that Integral education, as a concept of education, is often confused with full-time education, that is, simply extending the time students spend in school. However, Integral education is broad and diverse, as it aims to contribute to the education of students in its different formative dimensions. The research was based on regulatory documents, local experiences, and educational data, seeking to understand how the extension of school hours and curriculum diversification contribute to citizenship formation. The findings indicate that the implementation of Integral education depends on factors such as funding, infrastructure, and intersectoral articulation, highlighting the essential role of community participation and the strengthening of school networks.It is concluded that, despite the challenges, municipal Integral education has the potential to reduce inequalities and promote the comprehensive development of students.
