Tecnologia para educação: criando pontes para a adesão ao tratamento no Centro de Atenção Psicossocial Álcool e Outras Drogas no Amazonas

Resumo

Introduction: This study addresses mental health, a vital condition for life in society. Its absence affects well-being, the ability to work, and relationships with friends, family, and community. In 2019, 1 in 8 people, or 970 million people worldwide, lived with a mental disorder, with anxiety and depressive disorders being the most common. The guidelines and strategies for mental health care in Brazil, according to the National Mental Health Policy, stipulate that care should be provided at Psychosocial Care Centers (CAPS) in the country. Objective: To create a flipchart to guide educational practices on treatment adherence for patients with chemical dependency, as strategies for professionals at the Psychosocial Care Center for Alcohol and Other Drugs in the Amazon region. Method: This is a qualitative Convergent Care Research (PCA) conducted at CAPS centers in some municipalities in Amazonas. It was developed in three stages: an integrative literature review; A questionnaire was administered to CAPS AD professionals for data collection and development of a flipchart. Results: The study resulted in an Integrative Literature Review and the development of a serial album to equip professionals of the multidisciplinary team at the Psychosocial Care Centers for Alcohol and Other Drugs. The use of alcohol and drugs is currently one of the most important risk factors for mortality and morbidity in the world. The treatment of these disorders has undergone significant changes in the last 25 years, and currently, different treatment alternatives can be used for those people with problems resulting from the use of psychoactive substances. Those affected, in turn, have the right to receive the best available treatment. That said, the result of the study culminated in the production of the serial album entitled: CREATING BRIDGES FOR ADHERENCE TO TREATMENT, whose objective is to equip the professionals of the multidisciplinary team at the CAPS ad (Psychosocial Care Center for Alcohol and Other Drugs) in the development of health education practices that can contribute to patient adherence to treatment. Conclusion: Addressing this topic is extremely socially relevant, given that patients with mental illness enter the healthcare system through Primary Health Care (PHC) through direct contact with nursing teams, and are often constantly monitored by them. The study findings point to weaknesses related to the continuing education of professionals and the therapeutic journey of CAPS AD patients, highlighting the need to create formal spaces for knowledge exchange and discussion of the topic, as well as the need to encourage professional training, fostering a welcoming identity within the service and fostering patient adherence to treatment.
