Resumo

Human beings have always had the need to leave records of their life history and they did this when they drew on cave walls, in the Paleolithic period, 40,000 BC. A man without records is a man without history, without identity, without memories for generations future ones. The individual who narrates his story, affirms and establishes his existence for his descendants, marks himself a point of reference regarding his period of life. The present research has the general objective of recording the history and memory of the Nossa Senhora de Fátima do Rio Negro Community, based on the memories of the residents of this place through interviews carried out during visits to the community in addition to: Inventorying studies on the community in focus and understand why residents are unaware of these contributions; Understand, interpret and record the narratives that tell the history and memory of the Community and its creation processes. It is qualitative and terdisciplinary field research. It is qualitative as it seeks to understand subjective aspects of subjects such as: vision, behaviors, preferences, thoughts, among others. And it is interdisciplinary as it permeates the universe of several disciplines, namely: geography, used for location, mapping, physical and social characteristics of the population; the history, to understand and know how the community emerged, who were the first residents; science, through ecology, was used to demonstrate how the interaction between individuals and their physical environment occurs; psychology, in particular, cognitive neuroscience to understand memory processes; pedagogy, in relation to the school education process; and philosophy, regarding the study of the body related to work. The research is guided by the theoretical assumptions of studies and research by: Freitas, (2012); Lakatos (2017) Benchimol (2009); Ecléa Bosi (1994); Le Goff (1990); Paul Thompson (2006); Wagley (1969); Noberth Elias and Eric Dunning, (1939, 1984, 1986); Paulo Freire (1967); Souza (2021), Santana (2015); Matos (2015); Joaquim Justino Moura dos Santos (1991); Jackeline de Araújo Barino, (2019); and others. . Through this research it was possible to notice that the community has lost its configurations, acquiring neighborhood characteristics. The ajuri, better known as joint effort, no longer happens; the exchanges that took place over food is something that we have also rarely seen, before, a resident when killing game or catching fish, for example, when you arrived, you shared the meat or fish with your neighbor, now these things are sold; older residents are leaving the community and entering the neighborhoods in search of peace, silence and a way of living as people lived at the beginning of the community; It was also noticed that the records of the community's history were in the photographs, in the houses, in the speeches, in the documents and in the memories of the elders.
