Resumo
This study aims to identify and interpret Milton Hatoum's contributions to the literary magazine EntreLivros, published by Duetto, applying Laurence Bardin's Content Analysis (2016) as the methodology for qualitative data treatment. The analysis reveals the prevalence of three thematic categories, the first of which addresses the tensions between the creative act and market demands. Hatoum argues that literature should resist the cynicism and conformity imposed by the market. The second category, through analytical and reflective discourse, demonstrates how prominent writers have developed innovative narrative techniques, examining elements such as novel structure, narrative perspective, and the manipulation of time within the narrative. The third and final category examines Hatoum's discussion of literary tradition and memory as fundamental components of narrative inspiration. Literary tradition is viewed not as a static legacy, but as a dynamic and dialogical field, while memory is presented as a creative resource that enables the transformation of lived experiences into fiction.
