Construção e validação de vídeo educativo para equipe de Enfermagem sobre prevenção de quedas com foco na População em situação de rua no contexto hospitalar

Abstract

Objective: Build and validate an educational video for the nursing team on fall prevention with a focus on the homeless population in the hospital context. Methods: This is a methodological study, consisting of the preparation of the educational video and validation of the content by 22 nurses with expertise in the areas of patient safety, educational technology, hospital care and the homeless population. The content was selected from a narrative review to collect the data. A validated instrument was used, the educational content validation instrument. The criterion for validation was agreement greater than 80%, analyzed using the content validation index and binomial test. Results: The elaboration of the educational video storyboard was guided by the theoretical framework of the Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning. Construction and validation took place from December 2023 to August 2024. The final version of the video lasts 10 minutes and 59 seconds, and was validated regarding objectives, structure, presentation and relevance, with a Content Validity Index of 0.86. The content of the video included the multiple variables on falls, presents a reflection on how nursing interventions are being carried out for the risk of falls in hospitalized homeless patients, describes the main nursing interventions for the risk of falls in hospitalized patients, warns about complications of mechanical restraints and closure with a reflection on nursing care for this population. Conclusion: The video was considered valid in terms of content by judges and may have applications in the practice of education/training of nursing professionals for patient safety when caring for homeless people
