Abstract

Supervised Internship III constitutes a fundamental stage in initial teacher education, enabling the articulation between theory and practice within the school context. This study aimed to describe the experiences developed during Biology teaching practice, highlighting the use of active methodologies in teaching the topic "Origin of Life". The internship was carried out at the Professor Aristélio Sabino de Oliveira Civic-Military Full-Time Educational Center, located in Benjamin Constant, Amazonas, with firstyear high school classes (101 to 106), totaling 20 hours of activities. Diverse methodological strategies were employed, including dialogic lectures, educational videos, discussion circles, seminars, mind maps, assessment activities, and digital games using the Kahoot platform. The results showed greater student participation and engagement, favoring content understanding and the development of critical thinking. It was concluded that the use of diversified methodologies significantly contributed to students' learning and to the professional development of the trainee teacher.
