Introduction: Common Mental Disorders include non-psychotic symptoms, such as anxiety, depressed mood, irritability, fatigue, insomnia, and somatic complaints, which can impair quality of life and academic performance. Objective: To estimate the prevalence of CMD and its associated factors among graduating university students from five campuses of a federal higher education institution in Amazonas during the period of 2025. Method: This is a cross-sectional, quantitative, institution-based study aimed at estimating the prevalence of suspected TMC and associated factors among university students from rural areas. Results: Of the 132 students, 34.8% (n=46) screened positive for suspected TMC, with sex associated with this result. There was no evidence that the other variables, whose significances (p) exceeded the 5% level, were significantly associated with the presence of TMC. Conclusion: When estimating the prevalence of common mental disorders in the sample, significant results were obtained regarding the presence of these disorders, associated with the students' gender. The need for further studies to analyze other factors associated with the development of these disorders in this specific population is also emphasized.
