Práticas culturais indígenas na escola: diálogos e aproximações – uma experiência na comunidade Parque das Tribos em Manaus - Am

Abstract

This research aimed to understand and value the artistic and cultural practices of the indigenous ethnic groups present in the Parque das Tribos community in Manaus-AM, through active listening to students and family members belonging to these groups. We developed pedagogical activities that fostered the experience of traditional indigenous knowledge, including native languages, artifacts, cuisine, body painting, dances, music, and oral narratives in the school environment. Given the limitations of the teacher-researcher's knowledge of the research field and the indigenous theme, this research sought to broaden the teacher-researcher's training regarding the cultures of native peoples, recognizing their limitations and seeking to build an education based on dialogue, listening, and respect for otherness.
