O matohi yanomami: uma autoetnografia do corpo de um aprendiz de hekura do rio Marauiá/AM

Resumo

This dissertation is an autoethnography of the body of a hekura apprentice, built through personal life trajectory, healing rituals, knowledge of matohi (objects, adornments, paintings, songs, and tools), and a deep relationship with the forest and spirits. Through narratives, reflections, and audiovisual records, the work shows how matohi embodies both art and science in Yanomami thought, as part of education, spirituality, identity, and political life. The dissertation also documents a reahu festival held with napë professors, integrating Indigenous and academic knowledge in a shared experience of learning and mutual recognition. All of this constitutes what we call here a written matohi.
