Cesta de bens e serviços territoriais: uma discussão para para o desenvolvimento territorial com oportunidades biotecnológicas para Anamã e Beruri - Am.

Resumo

This dissertation, part of the Doctoral Program in Biotechnology of the Multi-Institutional Graduate Program in Biotechnology at the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM), in the concentration area of Innovation Management in Biotechnology, analyzes the construction of a Basket of Territorial Goods and Services (BTGS) in the municipalities of Anamã and Beruri, in the state of Amazonas, focusing on the native fruits açaí and tucumã. Based on a qualitative, territorialized, and interdisciplinary approach, the research seeks to understand how these widely commercialized and exported products can be re-signified in their places of origin, contributing to cultural valorization, the strengthening of local identities, increased income, and the permanence of Amazonian populations in their territories. The study draws on the concepts of territorial development (Boisier, 1999; Santos, 2000), with emphasis on the valorization of local knowledge and the strategic role of social actors in the appropriation and management of natural resources. The research is structured into four chapters: the first presents the methodological planning and territorial delimitation; the second discusses the symbolic construction of territory through native fruits and their sociocultural practices; the third analyzes governance and the role of local and institutional agents; and the fourth offers an integrated reflection on the potential of biotechnology in the Amazonian context. Therefore, açaí and tucumã go beyond their status as mere natural resources: they are identity, cultural, and economic symbols which, when articulated with tools such as the BTGS, can promote sustainable and endogenous territorial development strategies in the Amazon, grounded in the valorization of the territory, biodiversity, and local ways of life.
