RepoDX - Repositório de técnicas para avaliação de DX na dimensão afetiva

Abstract

The Developer Experience (DX) encompasses all the interactions and activities that developers have when creating systems, highlighting its influence on the affective aspects of teams, such as sentiment, moods and emotions. However, assessing DX in organizations can be challenging, as team leaders are not always able to choose and apply the right techniques. This research seeks to answer the question "How can we choose and use techniques to assess DX in the affective dimension?", using the Design Science Research (DSR) research methodology, where cycles of relevance, design and rigor were applied. The aim is to support those responsible for development teams in this selection and use by creating a repository of detailed techniques and artifacts, as well as a technology to facilitate access to this information. The research involved exploratory research, a Rapid Review (RR) and feasibility and evaluation studies of the repository (RepoDX) in academic and industrial environments. The results include a knowledge base on DX evaluation techniques, as well as methods and tools for their selection, aimed at supporting DX evaluators in improving software productivity and quality.
