Manual sobre prevenção e controle de enteroparasitoses para enfermeiros que atuam com populações ribeirinhas da amazônia

Resumo

The Amazon region presents singularities, which include the geographic isolation imposed on residents of the largest tropical forest in the world. In riverside areas, basic sanitation and the use of treated water for consumption are unsatisfactory, when these factors are combined with inadequate living conditions, they corroborate the process of disease transmission, as is the case of intestinal parasitic diseases (enteroparasitosis). The objective of the study was to create a manual of guidelines for the prevention and control of enteroparasitosis for nurses who work with riverside populations in the Amazon. The methodological study was developed in two phases: 1st Situational Diagnosis (Focus Group); and 2nd Construction Technology. Eight (8) nurses who work in assisting riverside residents in the Municipality of Coari, Amazonas participated in the research. All focus group statements were carefully transcribed and transformed into a textual corpus to be used in the data analysis process using the IRaMuTeQ® software. The results of this investigation are arranged in three stages: 1st – Presentation of the experiences reported in the Focus Group; 2nd – Manuscript on the construction of Educational Technology; and 3rd Technological Technical Product (PTT), which resulted in an educational manual of 88 pages and 27 illustrations. The manual was constructed in 4 chapters and its main objective is to assist the professional practice of nurses who work in riverine and river family health teams, during the provision of nursing care to the riverside population with intestinal parasites, qualifying care and being a guide of good practices in accordance with scientific evidence. Finally, the study needs to be validated by expert judges, so that it can be part of the daily lives of nurses who work in riverside health
