As experiências de trabalhadores/as da Fabriljuta em Parintins – AM

Abstract

This dissertation seeks to relate the common experiences, as well as their differences, in the work of men and women at the Fabriljuta factory, a facility for processing jute yarn and sacks, during the 1970s and 1980s, a period known for its jute economy. This is a study of a period considered significant in the imagination of the local and regional population, based on the oral narratives of those who were part of this period in the history of Amazonas and Parintins. In this way, this research enters the interdisciplinary field of history and sociology to present the historical process of the jute economy in the Amazon from the point of view of its social actors. In other words, we are interested in the before, during and after of their factory experiences, so that we can highlight the impact and contradictions of the economic, social and cultural changes in their lives and daily lives.
