Atlas fotográfico de anatomia da face e pescoço

Resumo

INTRODUCTION: The teaching of facial and cervical anatomy has gained increasing relevance in the education of healthcare professionals, particularly in fields such as medicine, dentistry, and orofacial aesthetics. The scarcity of cadavers available for study, combined with the need for a detailed understanding of anatomical structures, reinforces the importance of complementary methods to traditional teaching. OBJECTIVE: To develop a stratigraphic photographic atlas of the face and neck by integrating cadaveric dissection with technological resources, such as digital photographic recording and image editing, for use as a didactic tool in anatomy education. METHODS: This study is characterized as a technological development study, based on the Product Development Process (PDP) model. Cadaveric dissections were performed focusing on vascular, muscular, and lymphatic structures, associated with the application of a vascular injection technique (angiotécnica) to enhance color differentiation. The images were captured in high resolution, organized in stratigraphic sequence, edited, and structured in a digital atlas format. RESULTS: The developed atlas comprises 110 pages and includes 61 original images from anatomical dissections, organized progressively to demonstrate the topographical relationships of the face and neck. The material was structured into three parts and thirteen chapters, containing high-resolution images, captions according to the Brazilian Anatomical Terminology, and concise explanatory texts, promoting the three-dimensional understanding of anatomical structures. CONCLUSION: The study enabled the development of a stratigraphic photographic atlas of the face and neck, integrating anatomical dissection and technological resources. The material presents didactic applicability and dissemination potential, establishing itself as a complementary resource for the teaching of human anatomy.
