O estudo do meio em espaços culturais de Manaus: um processo de ensino-aprendizagem em arte

Abstract

The focus of the research was to address how environmental activities in cultural spaces in Manaus impact the student's knowledge construction process. Linking theoretical studies to visits to these spaces possibly added results to this process. The idea of experimenting with new methodologies within art teaching is something that should always be very present in the daily lives of teachers who think about innovative practices in the classroom. In this study, a qualitative and autoethnographic approach was developed, which combines personal elements and experiences lived by the researcher sharing personal narratives and reflections. The study sample was students from a full-time school in Manaus being developed with classes from the 1st to 3rd year of high school. The research contributes significantly, as it shows that methodological practices outside the formal teaching context contribute to better learning in art with students who take part in these activities, even with all the setbacks along the way, art teaching must explore and develop aesthetic appreciation as well as forge readers and appreciators of it, understanding it not just as entertainment, but as a cognitive educational practice that allows students to develop mental skills as well as promote the understanding and application of knowledge. Finally, it is stated that education can also happen outside school walls and this dynamic becomes important so that new ways of thinking about teaching are possible and that these activities become an integral part of the school curriculum
