Resumo
Industry 4.0 is characterized by the integration of physical objects, people, machines, artificial intelligence, and processes, forming an intelligent, connected, and agile production chain. In this context, interventions are crucial in high-risk work environments, utilizing machines, robotic assistants, or ergonomic devices to either replace or collaborate with workers in tasks that require high physical effort. Among these devices, exoskeletons have been developed to provide specific functionalities, such as increasing strength. This applied study proposed the implementation of an exoskeleton to alleviate the load on the upper limbs in workstations within an industry located in the Manaus Industrial Hub (PIM), aiming to reduce ergonomic risks and increase productivity. To achieve this, a theoretical review of the concepts of Ergonomics, Industry 4.0, and Exoskeletons was conducted through bibliographic and bibliometric research, along with an analysis of the proposed exoskeleton model. The final phase involved validating the exoskeleton through tests with potential users to assess its effectiveness. The validation was carried out via interviews, in which users reported their perceptions before and after using the exoskeleton in their respective workstations. The interviews addressed psychological and physical symptoms, as well as the workers' perception of their work environment. The results indicated that the use of the exoskeleton provided significant benefits, including a reduction in psychological symptoms, such as less fatigue and improved concentration.
