O horizonte em expansão: a recepção no Brasil da obra de Haruki Murakami

Resumo

This research investigates the reception of the work of Japanese writer Haruki Murakami in Brazil, seeking to understand the research, translation and reading scenario in relation to Murakami's writing. From a theoretical perspective of debate, the focus on the Brazilian context of Murakami's text allows us to understand how contemporary Japanese literature relates to the Brazilian reader. The approach to universal issues, such as loneliness, the search for identity and the meaning of life, provides another engaging layer for the Brazilian public. The general objective of the investigation is to gather information that outlined the reception of Haruki Murakami in Brazil, pointing out and analyzing the trajectory of the work, the various academic studies, translations and discussions that have already been carried out on Murakami's work. The Brazilian reader, at first, is won over by the theme of the writing and the interest that the Japanese narrative provokes, highlighting how cultural and universal issues are relevant to the wide dissemination of the work in the country. The research adopts a qualitative and interpretative approach, of an exploratory nature, seeking to consolidate information on the reception and cultural impact of Murakami's work in Brazil. The data collection method includes a bibliographic survey of academic studies and analysis of publications published in Brazil and available on internet portals. The analysis is based on theorists such as Theodor Adorno (2008), Wolfgang Iser (1999) and Hans Robert Jauss (1994), allowing us to explore the relationships between text and reader from the perspective of reception aesthetics.
