Ciências Ambientais no Ensino Médio: integração interdisciplinar e perspectiva intercultural

Abstract

The work presented deals with the complexity of school educational processes and their relationship with the contemporary educational context, considering the existing convergences and divergences that necessarily appear at school. Regarding the educational context, two elements form the basis of contemporary discussions: the methodological paradigm of interdisciplinarity and the element that converges with it, the epistemological paradigm of interculturality. Within the scope of current issues in society and the discussion around the natural environment, reflections by theorists such as Vera Maria Candau, Enrique Leff, Boaventura Sousa Santos and others appear setting the tone of this work. It is in this context that the research presented is inserted with the aim of contributing to the integration of Environmental Sciences in the teaching of Ifam Itacoatiara campus, through an intercultural interdisciplinary didactic product. The methodologies used to carry out the research can be classified as action research and bibliographical research. To support the development of the educational product, a group of teachers from Ifam Itacoatiara campus met in three workshops to discuss and practice interdisciplinary methodology and intercultural epistemologies. The foundations for these categories were researched in the bibliographies of the aforementioned theorists. As a result, the following can be said to have been satisfactorily achieved: the drafting of a protocol to guide school educational activities and processes; and the demonstration of the existing dialog between the various educational theorists, bringing educational subjects up to date on the concepts currently being discussed.
