Desenvolvimento de solução digital para a gestão do cuidado de hipertenso e diabético

Resumo

Introduction: systemic arterial hypertension (SAH) and diabetes mellitus (DM) are highly prevalent chronic diseases and rank among the leading causes of global mortality, posing critical challenges for healthcare systems worldwide. In middle- and low-income countries like Brazil, these conditions have an even more severe impact, overburdening Primary Health Care (PHC). In the Amazonas region, difficulties in continuous monitoring and the absence of integrated digital tools exacerbate this scenario, highlighting the need for innovative digital health solutions to optimize clinical care and effectively manage these diseases within PHC. Objective: To develop a prototype of a digital health application designed for the monitoring and clinical care of patients with SAH and DM, facilitating communication between users and PHC professionals through the integration of collected data into existing information systems. Method: It involves the development of a prototype, consisting of the stages of requirements gathering, interface design, and functional prototyping. Results: The developed prototype demonstrated potential to improve the monitoring and treatment adherence of patients with SAH and DM. Its functionalities included measurement recording, generation of graphical reports, personalized reminders, and educational support, focusing on the integration of clinical data into existing health systems. Conclusion: The developed application presents itself as a promising digital health tool, especially in challenging contexts such as the Amazonas region, where geographical and infrastructural barriers limit continuous patient follow-up. It is concluded that the prototype can contribute to the optimization of healthcare and the strengthening of PHC.
