Multiversidade dos povos da terra de mãe preta: teias de sabenças e protegimentos

Abstract

This dissertation has at its heart the Multiversity of the Peoples of the Land of Mãe Preta, an initiative achieved by the Comunidade Kilombola Morada da Paz - CoMPaz, in conjunction with indigenous, quilombola, riverside, and peripheral territories, spanning from the Pampas to the Amazon. It is a web of wisdom and protection woven by indigenous and kilombola ancestors, artisans-weavers of an immense and powerful web of resistance that sustains processes of alliance and autonomy forged in community interdependence, based on the memory of the fight and the purpose, the continuity of ancestral territories. My purpose was to identify how humans and non-humans in relationship interweave Multiversity and articulate spirituality, knowledge production, and life policies in the territories that constitute it. The methodological approach I took to forge this path combines “writing experiences” (Evaristo, 2020), which I used as a strategy to narrate my journey in tune with the black, African-indigenous, enslaved, silenced and invisible women who preceded us, an ethnography carried out with the people and territories that participate in Multiversity, with an emphasis on the quilombola community of Danda-Simões Filho (BA) carried out mostly in the year 2023. As a theoretical contribution of this work, we highlight the concepts of blessons, protections, webs, which, woven with other friendly concepts, such as territorial autonomy and community interdependence, alliances, strategic territorial dispersion for the protection of life, resistance, continuities and faithful transgressions, allow the lived experience to be narrated with dignity and power. All of them were accessed through the powerful articulation between the speeches of ancestors and deities and indigenous authors, quilombolas, or even those who, despite being born in the Global North, are also called to akilombar, in reverence to the wisdom revealed by bodies who fight on the land of the territories.
