This dissertation brings the debate about the precariousness of the work of social workers in the field of health, against the backdrop of the changes that occurred in the world of work from the end of the 1970s due to the crisis that is installed and deepens until the present day. In the crisis scenario, strategies adopted by capitalism will severely impact the living conditions of the working class. From these strategies, the precariousness of work emerges as a class strategy as a way of deepening the exploitation and expropriation of labor within the logic of the flexible accumulation regime. In this sense, Brazilian Social Work is also subject, obviously, to such changes since it is inscribed in the socio-technical division of labor. Thus, this investigation chose as a general objective to analyze how the precariousness of the work of social workers working in Brazilian public health has occurred, based on the bibliographic production of the area of Social Work in the last decade, aiming to subsidize the qualification of professional work. As for the specific objectives, 3 were outlined, namely: to discuss contemporary changes in the world of work, highlighting the process of precariousness in Brazil under the offensive of neoliberal counter-reforms; to characterize the impacts of the neoliberal offensive on Brazilian public health, identifying the main focuses of studies on the work of social workers in health policy; and, consequently, to highlight the trends in the production of knowledge about the precariousness of the work of social workers in the Unified Health System, highlighting the working conditions and relations. To achieve the objectives, bibliographic and documentary research of a quantitative-qualitative nature was carried out, guided by historical-dialectical materialism, in addition to content analysis, a collection script organized from the three specific objectives. Data collection was carried out in 26 productions, collected from 2010 to 2023, 20 dissertations and 6 theses. As for the main results, the research revealed that: there is a greater concentration of works at the master's level; The Southeast region leads in quantitative data about production; the South region has the lowest concentration; the lack of funding and counter-reforms have a direct impact on the production and reproduction of the professional work of social workers; The debate about the precariousness of the work of social workers in Brazilian public health needs to be further explored in order to grasp the true degree and depth of this process.
