Percepção do discente da educação básica, sobre práticas e hábitos para uma vida saudável na escola

Abstract

The school is a privileged space for linking health and education in students' daily lives, promoting the dissemination of practices aimed at building a healthy life throughout their school career. The aim of this research was to develop a didactic-pedagogical product to help with teaching-learning activities related to healthy habits and practices in the school environment. The study was carried out with students from the 2nd year of Integrated High School, regularly enrolled at the Federal Institute of Amazonas - IFAM, Coari campus. A qualitative approach was adopted as the methodological design, using a semi-structured form, document analysis, workshops and field activities. The results revealed that, although the institution had several health promotion actions set out in the Pedagogical Political Project (PPP), Pedagogical Course Projects (PPCs), teachers' teaching plans, school programs and actions by the campus health sector, these initiatives were largely unknown to students. This gap pointed to weaknesses in internal communication and in the link between institutional sectors and the student body. The students' perception focused on basic health practices, such as personal hygiene and hydration, with less emphasis on aspects such as healthy eating, mental health and physical activity. The interventions carried out during the study contributed to strengthening student protagonism and critical awareness of self-care. As a result, the educational product “Connecting Knowledge” was developed, which is an integrative and transformative tool aimed at promoting health in the school context.
