Prevenção à nefropatia diabética da população ribeirinha: protocolo de enfermagem

Resumo

Introduction: Diabetes is associated with higher hospitalization rates, greater use of health services, as well as a higher incidence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, blindness, renal failure, and non-traumatic lower limb amputations. Among these complications, diabetic nephropathy (DN) stands out, classified as Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), which has been the main microvascular complication of Diabetes Mellitus (DM), especially type 2 DM. Objective: Build a prevention protocol of diabetic nephropathy for the riverside population with diabetes mellitus. Methodology: This is a descriptive methodological study with a qualitative approach, data collection was carried out using the focus group technique mediated by a semi-structured questionnaire with topics focused on the prevention of diabetic nephropathy. Seven riverside health nurses participated. For data analysis, the IRaMuTeQ® software was used, which is a computer program that is anchored in the R software and allows different forms of statistical analysis on textual corpus and on tables of individuals by words. In order to develop and organize the content that formalized the composition of the protocol in a dynamic, clear and concise way, in addition to the database search carried out, two meetings took place with the nurses included in the research.Result: The collective elaboration of a nursing protocol together with professionals who work in the health of the riverside population, considering the solution to a problem identified in the care practice of nurses/researchers and professionals who work in remote areas in the Amazonian context, as a possibility for training and Equipping professional nurses has the potential to promote changein care practice, thus improving the quality of care provided to the riverside population. Conclusion: The development of a nursing protocol to prevent diabetic nephropathy, for riverside health care nurses, has the potential to reduce the incidence of complications from diabetic nephropathy, since the treatment of kidney patients takes place in the capital, the location being geographic factor that implies adherence to treatment by patients affected by nephropathy, due to limited access by river, where during the dry period, many are isolated in their communities.
