Construção e validação de vídeo educativo sobre cuidados de enfermagem direcionado a familiares de pacientes ribeirinhos no pós-operatório de neurocirurgias

Abstract

Neurosurgeries are complex procedures that require intensive care, specifically in the post- operative period and when the patient is admitted to the ICU. It is of the utmost importance that the nursing team is prepared to welcome family members and pass on the information necessary for the successful recovery of these patients. The aim is to develop and validate an educational video on nursing care for family members of riverside patients in the post-operative period of neurosurgery. This is a methodological study of technological production to develop and validate an educational technology in video format. The study was carried out in the Adult Intensive Care Unit (UTIAD) and Neurosurgical Clinic of the Getúlio Vargas University Hospital (HUGV), in Manaus, Amazonas. It was developed in two phases: The first consisted of an integrative literature review, with the aim of identifying the internationally recommended nursing care for patients in the postoperative period of neurosurgery, using databases such as: Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (Lilacs), Scientific Electronic Library Online Portal (SciElo), Scopus, Web of Science and PubMed to select the articles. In the second phase, the educational technology in video format was constructed and This phase followed the stages proposed by Kindem and Musburger (2009), including the construction of the storyboard, which involved pre-production, production and post-production of the educational video, validation of the content and appearance of the storyboard, and the construction of the video. To build the storyboard and produce the video, a communications company with experience in producing educational materials in video format was hired in a laboratory dedicated to this type of production. Validation of the content and appearance was carried out by 20 nurses specializing in post-operative care for neurosurgical patients and 02 neurosurgeons, making a total of 22 expert judges. The video storyboard in the content and appearance validation was validated with a CVI above 0.70 (70%). It lasts 9 minutes and 21 seconds. Thus, this video, which deals with nursing care for the families of riverside patients in the post-operative period of neurosurgery, can be used in the daily practice of the nursing team, in the ICU and in the neurosurgical clinic, with the aim of providing guidance on care during hospitalization and at home.
