Design UX: proposta de interface para aplicativo destinado a saúde mental da comunidade acadêmica da Universidade Federal do Amazonas – UFAM

Resumo

The number of young people with depression increased after the pandemic, as presented by Hallal (2023), rising from 7.7% to 14.8% among individuals aged 18-24. This age group includes many individuals who attend university environments. Regarding university students' mental health worldwide, Brazil ranks first in having the worst mental health among university students (Chegg.org, 2020). At the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM), a study showed that 37.5% of students experience severe anxiety, while 25.5% have moderate levels (Louzada & Pacheco, 2022). As one of the movements used in Design in today's world is User Experience Design, which is multidisciplinary, involving several areas of knowledge in projects, it was seen that in the medical area, many of the User Experience resources are implemented in projects that involve Assistive Technologies (AT) to understand and meet patients' needs. Given this scenario, this study aims to develop an interface proposal for a mental health application aimed at the academic community at UFAM, that is, students and mental health professionals at that university. The scientific methodology is an applied approach and the design methodology uses the user experience approach, developed by Garrett (2011) divided into five elements, focusing on the needs of users. Through this, it is believed that it is possible to create a system that improves the quality of life of patients and professionals.
