Agricultura sustentável: avaliação do uso de adubação orgânica na produção de olerícolas no município de Humaitá, Região Sul do Estado do Amazonas.

Abstract

This research aimed to gather information on the use of organic fertilization as a sustainnable practice in vegetable production in Humaitá, Amazonas. The study was conducted through interviews using open and structured questionnnaires, adopting a qualitative and quantitative approach. The Project was previously submitted to the UFAM-PPGCA Human Research Ethics Committee to ensure compliance with ethical guidelines. Data analysis included categorizing respondes and evaluating variables such as pesticide use, irrigation, techniques, cultivation type, and production system. Descriptive statistics were applied, including means, standard deviation, frequencies, and language, to investigate the relationship belween organic ferlization and other sustainable practices. The resuslts indicated that most producers prefer chemical fertilzers due to their speed and effectiveness, using orgânico fertilization only, as a complemente. The ssam pattern applies t the use of agricultural psticides and substrates, which are mostly purchased ready-made, it is concluded that vegetable production in Humaitá is still not aligned with the principles of sustainabe agriculture.
