Desenvolvimento de um curso a distância para capacitação em saúde indígena para profissionais de enfermagem

Resumo

Introduction: Permanent health education, a learning model that takes place in the daily practice of the profession, is committed to the collective. It acknowledges routine activities as opportunities for innovation, embracing challenges and creatively replacing traditional models with cooperative, collaborative, integrated, and bold practices, fostering attentive listening to the country’s diversity and plurality. Objective: To develop in the modality Distance Learning Course to train nursing staff in providing humanized and equitable care to hospitalized Indigenous patients, with special attention to the cultural aspects and specific needs of this population. Method: This is an applied research project focused on technological production, aiming to develop a short-term distance learning course on Indigenous health for nursing professionals, hosted in a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and guided by the theoretical framework of andragogy. The methodological approach followed the first three phases of the ADDIE model to guide the development of the virtual learning environment, namely: analysis, design, and development. Results: Development of the course INDIGENOUS HEALTH NURSING IN THE HOSPITAL CONTEXT – Distance Learning Course (EAD), aimed at the continuing education of nursing staff in providing care to Indigenous patients in a hospital setting, with a workload of 60 hours. The technical and technological production was guided by Madeleine Leininger’s Theory of Cultural Care Diversity and Universality. Conclusion: The course was developed using an innovative pedagogical tool focused on reducing knowledge gaps regarding care for Indigenous populations and fostering the development of cultural skills and competencies to provide humanized and equitable care to Indigenous patients in a hospital setting.
