Panorama atual da incontinência urinária feminina: desenvolvimento de uma ferramenta digital para o apoio diagnóstico e terapêutico.

Resumo

Female urinary incontinence constitutes an important public health problem, with high prevalence, negative impact on quality of life and physical, emotional and social repercussions. Despite the availability of different diagnostic methods and therapeutic options, challenges related to underdiagnosis, fragmentation of scientific evidence and incorporation of information into clinical practice persist. This study aims to develop a digital tool to support the diagnosis and therapeutic management of female urinary incontinence, based on scientific evidence by carrying out a overview of the literature. This is a methodological study, of an applied nature, developed in two stages: a overview on diagnostic methods and therapeutic options for female urinary incontinence and the development of a digital tool aimed at clinical support in urogynecology. The overview identified 40 selected systematic reviews, of which 36 were related to treatment and 4-year diagnosis, evidencing a greater density of therapeutic evidence in comparison to diagnostics. Among the treatments, highlights include pelvic muscle training, combined therapies, surgical interventions, pharmacological therapies and emerging technologies. There is no diagnosis, patients will concentrate mainly on urodynamic studies, transperineal ultrasonography and emerging approaches. Based on these results, a digital tool “Urogynecology in Day” was developed, with thematic organization aimed at systematizing scientific content on diagnosis and treatment of female urinary incontinence. It is concluded that the integration between the synthesis of evidence and technological development allowed the construction of a technical product consistent with the needs of clinical practice.
