Design e acessibilidade digital: um guia de boas práticas em Design Instrucional Acessível na Educação a Distância (EAD)

Resumo

This dissertation addresses the pressing need for digital accessibility in Distance Education (DE), aiming to overcome the barriers faced by students, especially those with disabilities. The main objective was to develop a guide of good practices in accessible Instructional Design (ID) to produce DE learning materials, based on the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and digital accessibility guidelines. The methodology employed a systematic literature review on ID, UDL, and digital accessibility, in addition to an analysis of standards such as WCAG and accessibility-focused legislation like the Brazilian Law on Inclusion (LBI), to identify concepts, challenges, and propose an effective solution. The study culminated in the creation of a guide to good practices that, in a structured way, addresses crucial aspects such as visual design, textual content, multimedia, interaction, navigation, activities and assessment, and the choice of tools and platforms, with the goal of proactively eliminating barriers. This Guide represents the synthesis of the main results, offering technical and practical means to produce accessible digital learning materials, contributing to equip DE professionals with the tools to create more equitable learning experiences.
