Preservação digital no registro mercantil: os desdobramentos nos sistemas de gestão da informação arquivística digital na Junta Comercial do Estado do Amazonas.

Resumo

In the context of the Brazilian business registry system, the efficient management and preservation of digital archival information are crucial for ensuring process speed, transparency, and secure access to records generated through institutional activities. This study analyzed the influences and implications of digital transformation on the management of digital archival records, focusing on their preservation within the Amazonas State Board of Trade. The methodology employed exploratory research with a qualitative approach; data were collected through a literature review, document analysis, and a structured questionnaire based on dimensions related to digital preservation. Application of a maturity matrix revealed that, while the Amazonas agency adopts relevant technical practices, the institutionalization of digital preservation remains low, placing it between maturity levels 1 and 2. Based on this diagnosis, strategic recommendations were proposed to improve current practices, aligning them with guidelines from the National Archives Council (CONARQ), the OAIS reference model, and key management tools identified in archival literature. The study concludes that the institution it has opportunities to advance its maturity level and that the developed matrix can serve as a replicable model for other public organizations seeking to mitigate the risk of losing institutional memory.
